Dr. Capellino named Brandman Faculty of the Year
School of Education- 2016
The faculty has been hard at work being innovative, mentoring other faculty, and reaching out into the community to share the creative and innovative programs being developed by her school. All of these activities were related to her new passion, the MAELA program. This program uses the newest technology, while using state of the art andragogical strategies. This faculty has worked to create an innovative student-centered program that engages students in state of the art technology that expands their knowledge through application of concepts. In addition to creating a program that motivates students, she also has made a difference in the lives of other faculty. One colleague said, she “has motivated and inspired other faculty to expand their knowledge and understanding of the possibilities of the latest innovations in technology to improve our blended and online teaching and as a result, establish a stronger student-centered learning environment.”
To quote a colleague, this faculty “has been willing to share everything she’s done every step of the way with faculty. She’s been a true inspiration to many of us who were burning out – but now feel re-energized to move forward!” The Faculty of the Year for the School of Education is Tami Capellino.
